The maps themselves are split into between around five and ten capture points which are joined up sequentially – like a dot-to-dot puzzle. I have to admit, it’s not a map I’d played before, but while familiarisation with your surroundings is always going to play a part in an FPS game, the size of and variety within each map means there are always a lot of ways to plan your attack/defence. So - jumping into a battle on a Mountain Village map, Ben and I found ourselves defending the US positions. It’s really great to see all the new folks coming along to check out how the in-game action and strategic map come together to create a genuinely compelling player-generated theatre of war – and it’s so useful to get all the feedback too… so keep it up, troops!īut back to our own personal exploits (which, by the way, are directly taken from our in-game adventures)… This week:
